Just spent a couple of nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Destin, and while it may not be the Ritz, it has its advantages for business travelers. The 24-hour reception made check-in a breeze, although I would have preferred a more personal touch. The business center had everything I needed—stable Wi-Fi, a printer, and even a desk where I could get some work done. Parking was straightforward, though it's worth noting that a good amount of it seemed to be shared with nearby shopping, which can get a bit crowded. The outdoor pool looked inviting, but I didn’t partake; I was too busy tackling emails. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the beds were reasonably comfortable, allowing for a decent night’s sleep before a busy day. A snack bar on-site was convenient for quick bites, though I found the lack of a vending machine somewhat disappointing. The hotel’s proximity to shops and restaurants, along with its decent amenities, makes it a solid choice for those traveling for work. Just manage your expectations—you're here for efficiency, not extravagance.
